Vaults, manholes and other tight spaces can turn deadly quickly, and electrical work adds hazards of its own. This course prepares electrical workers to recognize those spaces and enter them safely.

You will learn what makes a space a confined space and when it needs a permit, the atmospheric and physical hazards involved, how air is tested and kept safe, and the roles of the people inside and outside the space. The course also covers rescue planning and the electrical hazards found in underground vaults, using a realistic example to bring it together. It is based on OSHA requirements.

Built for electrical workers, technicians and supervisors. Plan on roughly 3 hours. You can start and stop whenever you like, and your progress is saved. Each lesson ends with a short quiz, and the final quiz opens once those are passed. One final quiz of 50 questions, and you pass with 40 correct. You will see your score and whether you passed.

This course supports your training. It doesn't replace your employer's confined space program, permits or hands-on rescue training.
