Most serious electrical injuries happen on equipment someone believed was off. This course explains how to make equipment truly safe to work on and how to keep it that way until the job is done.
You will learn what OSHA and NFPA 70E (2024 edition) expect from an energy control program, who does what during a lockout, how to find every source of energy, including stored energy that stays behind after a disconnect is opened, and how to prove that equipment is dead before anyone touches it. The course also covers working as a crew, handing equipment over between shifts, and the field mistakes that most often lead to injuries.
Built for electrical workers, technicians, maintenance staff and supervisors. Plan on roughly 5 hours. You can start and stop whenever you like, and your progress is saved. Each lesson ends with a short quiz, and the final quiz opens once those are passed. One final quiz of 50 questions, and you pass with 40 correct. You will see your score and whether you passed.
This course supports your training. It doesn't replace your employer's energy control program or hands-on training.
